My Order: The Shiso Flame Burger

I ordered the Shiso Flame Burger, one of Dragon Burger's four signature burgers. The thick premium beef patty had a beautiful sear on the outside while staying tender and juicy inside.

Melted cheese added richness, fresh shiso leaves brought a light herbal note that kept it balanced, and the spicy sauce added just enough heat without steamrolling everything else. It's rich, juicy, and — surprisingly — easy to finish.

Compared to the typical Honolulu smash burger, this feels like a different category. Premium beef, fresh ingredients, Japanese-inspired flavors, and that locally baked brioche bun all come together into something that stands out.

The Owner's Passion

One thing that came through immediately was how much the owner cares. You can tell he genuinely wants every customer to have the same great experience — from the ingredients to the preparation, there's a real focus on consistency and quality.

That kind of attention is what separates a passion project from a generic food-court stall. It shows up in the details: the fresh buns, the moderate sauce, the seasoning on the patty.
