  • Dragon Burger is here, and today is only their second day—and they’re already sold out again. Everyone I asked had the same reaction: “Amazing.” The beef is something special. • Is this $190 lunch worth the view? 👀 Save for your trip 📌 Monkeypod Kitchen sits right on the water at the back of the Outrigger Reef, with Diamond Head framed in the window. You walk through the hotel lobby and past the shops to find it — then the ocean just opens up. The fish is picked up fresh at 6 AM every morning. We had it macadamia crusted with maui pineapple relish, plus the saimin with tender pork in a clean broth, and the cream pies for the finish. Come for lunch when the water looks its best, and ask for a table by the water — it changes the whole meal. Live music every night, valet $15 with validation. • I stopped by Good Chicken inside STIX Asia in Waikiki and honestly didn’t expect much… but this spot surprised me.🔥 I tried their homemade mandoo, garlic chicken, and kalbi, and every dish felt fresh, balanced, and made with real care.❤️ The mandoo was soft and juicy, the garlic chicken had the perfect crunch without being overpowering, and the kalbi was tender from the first bite to the last.😋 What stood out most? Everything tastes homemade — not rushed, not mass-produced.🙏 If you’re exploring Stix Asia in Waikiki, this is one of the spots you don’t want to skip.💡 Full article is liveon NateEatsHawaii (link in bio) 👇 Have you tried it yet? 🍗🇰🇷

  • From nurse to chef — Japanese soba master takes over Waikiki spot 🍜 Hiroya was a nurse in Japan for 3 years before moving to Hawaii to learn English. He took over Shingen — a Japanese soba restaurant inside Stix Asia food hall in Waikiki Shopping Plaza — a year ago when the original owner returned to Japan. Now he’s the chef and owner. Soba imported straight from Hokkaido. His pick? The ube udon — chewy, made with antioxidant-rich ube powder. 📍 Shingen Soba Izakaya at Stix — Stix Asia, Waikiki Shopping Plaza Save this for your next Waikiki food trip 👇

  • This burger is NOT worth $32… or is it? 👀🔥 Finally tried JOJA Burger after skipping that crazy line so many times… and yeah, I waited WAY too long for this. $19 burger + $7 fries + $1 bag + tip = $32 total 🤙 Not cheap… but that first bite?? different level. Be honest — would YOU wait in line for this? 👇 Tag someone who’s obsessed with onions 🧅 Flavor was honestly unlike any burger I’ve had — that truffle sauce with the caramelized onions is delicious. I’d personally put some lettuce on there tho. Would you change anything or nah? Follow @NateEatsHawaii for the best food spots on Oahu 🌺

  • Today — Hou Fish Market. Seared salmon bowl. $19… about $22 with tip. The sauce is really nice — not overpowering, just right. And the salmon is super soft. Ahi is fresh daily from Hawaiian waters. The salmon? Could be Japan, could be Canada — even they weren't sure. But for $19, I'm seeing a lot of rice and not a lot of fish. Taste-wise, this is up there. But this is a snack, not a meal. Would you pay $22 for this? • Day 3 of finding the best poke bowl on Oahu 🍣 Three days in and I already found a spot most tourists will NEVER know about. Kyung’s Seafood. South King Street. No hype. No line of tourists. • Day 1 of finding the best poke bowl on Oahu 🍣 Starting at the legendary Ono Seafood on Kapahulu. Half pound of ahi — $17. The shoyu marinade? Solid. Sweet, savory, well-balanced. But here’s the thing — some of the ahi cubes had these hard stringy bits running through them. Not every piece, but enough that a few bites were unpleasant to chew. And the spice level caught me off guard. If you don’t do spicy, ask them to tone it down. Still a solid bowl. Still worth the line. But the best on Oahu? Not so fast. What I ordered: → Nikutama Udon ($12.99) — beef + soft-boiled egg, the #1 dish → Premium Tendon ($15.75) — most expensive thing on the menu → Cheese tempura ($2.25) — trust me on this one → Crab tempura + Spam musubi 📍 2310 Kuhio Ave, Waikiki ⏰ Open daily 10 AM - 10 PM 💡 Go between 2-4 PM to skip the line Full menu, prices, and ordering guide on my website — link in bio. #marugameudon #waikikirestaurants #hawaiieats #udonnoodles nateeatshawaii oahufood waikiki cheapeatswaikiki hawaiifoodguide nikutamaudon
