Mimi's Peruvian Cuisine is Hawaii's only family-owned Peruvian restaurant, located on Keeaumoku Street five minutes from Ala Moana. Founded in 2009 by the Cargo Legrand family and named after grandmother Martha 'Mimi' Cargo Legrand. Chef Johny (born in Peru, 1993) cooks every dish — Lomo Saltado, Pollo Saltado, ceviche de mahi mahi, Aji de Gallina, Anticucho, and the off-menu Papa Rellena. Famous for the all-you-can-eat Peruvian buffet on the last Sunday of every month (12pm–6pm, $45 adult / $25 kid, BYOB). Validated parking 1 hour free at Ke'eaumoku Plaza.
