What is Rice & Fries?

Rice & Fries is a Korean-Hawaiian fusion food truck tucked away in a food truck park on Kalakaua Avenue. Owner David grew up in Korea learning to cook from his parents, and every dish reflects this deep cultural connection — from the fermented tang of the kimchi gravy to the perfectly seasoned bulgogi patty.

Must-Order:

• K-Loco Moco ($15) — The signature dish: bulgogi patty, fried egg, and house-made kimchi gravy over rice. A Korean twist on Hawaii's classic.
• Animal Style Fries ($10) — David's tribute to In-N-Out with caramelized onions, cheese, and house-made thousand island.
• Fried Mandoo ($11) — Handmade Korean dumplings fried until golden and crispy.
• Plum-ade ($4) — House-made Korean maesil drink.

Late Night: Open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays — one of the few quality late-night food options in Waikiki.

Vegan Friendly: Dedicated cookware for vegan/vegetarian guests. The Fried Enoki Mushrooms ($9) are both vegan AND gluten-free.
