Udon: Marugame on Kuhio
Marugame Udon Waikiki is the $6–$17 bowl. The guide’s visit was a rainy Sunday around 5:30pm, about a 30-minute line, under $45 for two. Last checked February 19, 2026. Nikutama udon was $12.99 regular on that menu.

Smash burger: JOJA, not a shop
JOJA is a pop-up. Monday evenings at Waikiki Makers Market, 226 Lewers. Saturday mornings at Kakaʻako Farmers Market. The Truffle Smash Burger was $19 and fries were $7 on the April 2026 check. Wait was 30–60 minutes, and they sell out.
Happy hour: re-check before you order
The Waikiki happy hour guide was fully checked April 17, 2026. Sky’s $4 oysters and Signature’s 50% off food are from that pass. Duke’s and the Royal Hawaiian Mai Tai Bar have no happy hour. Duke’s phone note is July 2026. None of this has a September re-check yet.
Ramen if the udon line is too long
The Marugame guide points at Momosan, Ezogiku, and Ramen Nakamura in Waikiki when you want ramen instead. For a bowl we sat down for, Bonbori is at Midtown Eats in Keeaumoku, not in Waikiki. Shoyu was $17 on July 31, 2026, and it sells out. The island ramen roundup is Best Ramen in Honolulu.
